The Advanced Apprenticeship in Veterinary Nursing

The course is split into two years: Level 2 (year one) and Level 3 (year two). Both Level 2 and Level 3 consist of two aspects: theory leading to a written examination and practical work entailing the completion of a portfolio. Students cannot commence the second year until they have successfully sat the first year exams and had their portfolio approved.

Once the student has completed this qualification they can register themselves with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (R.C.V.S) and call themselves a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
